Eye care for Children
We feel its just as important to check your children's eyes regularly as it is to have regular check ups at the dentist.
A child may not necessarily know if he or she can't see clearly as they may have never known any different.
Impatience or an apparent lack of concentration may in fact be due to poor vision. All children and young adults under the age of 18, should have an eye test every year.
Children do not have to be able to read to have an eye test - our specialist equipment gives an accurate measure of your child's vision in a relaxed, unintimidating way.We also carry out a complete eye health exam to ensure that your child's eyes are healthy and to detect any developmental problems as soon as possible.
We are pleased to offer Free Children's appointments every day - please contact the practice on: 01207 590 111 to discuss your child's needs or any concerns you may have.
All children under the age of 16 and full time scholars under the age of 18 are entitled to a free eye test every year. They are also entitled to free spectacles if they need vision correction.
We know children are just as conscious of their image as adults are - so we have specially selected a range of frames for children and young adults which they will be happy to wear.
